Getting started
- What is Xibit360?
- Xibit360 lets you build your own walk-through exhibition — a solo show inside the browser. No app or plugin needed: it opens from a single link, and visitors can walk it on a computer or a phone.
- How much does it cost?
- Opening your first room is free. Everything you can pay for is a one-time purchase with no subscription: $3 per extra work slot, $25 for an extra exhibition room (with all 15 of its slots included), $20 once for the Video Pass if you want to exhibit video, and $10 for a storage pack (+1GB, as many as you need) if you ever run out of space.
- How do I get started?
- Three steps: upload your work (JPG, PNG or WebP, with its title and year), build the room (choose a template, arrange the walls, set the lighting and the path), then publish the URL.
Money, and your rights
- Can I get a refund?
- Upgrades unlock the moment your payment clears, so they are not refundable once unlocked, except where the law requires otherwise. If you were charged and the upgrade did not unlock, write to us and we will fix it or refund you in full. If we ever close the service, we give at least 90 days’ notice, and for the whole of that period your published galleries stay reachable and your files stay downloadable, so you can take everything with you.
- Who owns the work I upload?
- You do — all of it. What we hold is only the technical permission needed to show your exhibition while it is published (storing it, resizing it for display, serving it to visitors), and that ends when you delete the work or close your account.
- Will my work be used to train AI?
- No. We do not use your work to train AI or machine-learning models, and we do not provide, sell or license it to anyone else for that purpose. Only when you use read-aloud is the caption text sent to an external speech service to generate the audio — your images are never sent.
Your works
- How many works fit in one room?
- Up to 15 works per room. If you need more space than that, you can add another room — each one has its own address, its own look, and a doorway from the room you are in.
- How much can I store?
- Storage is counted per account, and everyone starts with 100MB. Images are compressed in your browser before they upload, so photos and illustrations fit in that no matter how many rooms you have (under 1MB each). Video is what actually fills a quota — up to 100MB per work, though that is a ceiling and a shorter clip weighs far less. If you want more room for video, the quickest thing is to drop a room’s background music (up to 15MB each). Beyond that, storage packs add 1GB for $10 and you can buy as many as you need. There is no monthly fee.
- Can I add captions?
- Yes — a title, year and statement sit beside each work, like a museum wall label.
- Part of my image is cut off in the room — can I choose which part shows?
- Yes. A work is fitted to the size you gave it, so an image with a different shape gets trimmed. In the works tab you can pick which part is kept — the start, the middle or the end of the side being trimmed — and the editor tells you how much is being cut.
- Can I exhibit videos?
- Images are always free. To exhibit video works (up to 100MB each — roughly five minutes at 1080p) you need the Video Pass, a one-time $20. Buy it once and you can show video forever. Each work loops in the room and grows audible as visitors approach.
- Can I add an audio guide?
- Yes, per work. Upload your own narration, or have the caption read aloud. Visitors press play on the work, and during a guided tour it starts on its own as each piece comes into view.
- Can I link to where my work is sold?
- Yes. Each work can carry as many links as you like — a print shop, an original, a commission — and you label each one yourself, so visitors see “Buy a print” rather than a bare address. The buttons appear in the work’s panel and in the catalogue.
How the room looks
- Can I change how the room looks?
- Yes. Pick a theme (walls, light and mood), a layout (the shape of the room), and the frame, mat and hanging style for your works. Colour, light and a logo of your own are free for everyone; some themes, layouts and frames are paid.
- Can I decide where each work hangs?
- Yes. The placement tab shows the room from above; drag a work onto a spot, or tap the work and then the spot. Dropping onto an occupied spot swaps the two. Works you take off the wall stay in your library.
- Can I play music in the room?
- Yes. Upload one track and it loops quietly while visitors walk. Use something you have the right to use — visitors can mute it at any time.
Publishing & sharing
- How do I share my exhibition?
- Opening the room gives you one lasting URL. Put it in your profile or portfolio, and anyone can step inside from there.
- What do visitors need?
- Nothing at all. No account, no install — they just open the link and walk in.
- Can I see how visitors respond?
- Yes. The guestbook gathers footprints and notes — quieter than a comment feed, more like the reactions at a real show.
- Can I use my exhibition outside Xibit360?
- Two ways. Embed the room in your own site, or print or save a catalogue of the works.
More rooms, and showing together
- Can I have more than one room?
- Yes — $25 per extra room, with its full 15 slots included, and you can buy more than one. Each room has its own look and its own address, and visitors move between them through doors in the 3D view. One room is your front door, which is what your main link opens.
- Can several artists show together?
- Yes. Start a joint exhibition, invite artists by their handle or with a link you can share, and each artist chooses which of their own works to offer — you never see their whole library. The host pays once for the run ($15–$40 depending on its length); taking part is free.
